Dear Potential Sponsor:
For over 50 years Stembridge Football & Cheerleading has been servicing the community of Baltimore County as a member of the Essex/Stembridge Parks and Recreation Council. As a 501-C3 non-profit organization (ID# 31133441) we rely on the generosity of our members and the community in general, to give us the opportunity to be successful.
From the months of August until November you can find over 450 local youth between the ages of 3 and 14 practicing, playing, and competing in the sport they love. We strive to use football and cheerleading practices, as tools to teach some of the many valuable life lessons that young people must know in order to become successful members of society, such as:
Being a team player
Having a positive attitude
Interacting with their peers
Dealing with both victory and defeat
Having a sense of commitment and dedication.
The value of physical activity
The 2011 season was filled with many great accomplishments for our organization. Many of our football teams made it to the playoffs. Our organization continued in the higher division and played against really strong competitive teams. For the second year in a row, we anticipate adding additional teams to most of our age groups this upcoming season.
Our cheerleading program continues to grow and be successful. Our dedicated volunteer cheerleading coaches have given the girls and boys the right tools to compete at a high level during the season. We expect another successful season with the growth and good reputation our cheerleading program has been working on the past few years.
The difficult economic times that we are facing impact not only you, but our players as well. The cost of equipment, competitions, referees and field supplies are constantly rising. To keep our registrations as affordable as possible and to give as many children as possible a chance to join our organization, we must offset our expenses with contributions and donations. For every $100 that we receive, one more player can play. Your donation helps us get kids involved that cannot afford it. Last year, thanks to donations from people like you, we were once again able to scholarship players. We hope we can count on your donations again this year.
Fundraising is never easy and has become increasingly more difficult in these trying economic times. Our organization would like to partner with your business and provide a cost effective opportunity for you to advertise and make a difference in the lives of our youth. There are a few ways you can help:
Game Jersey Sponsorship: With a donation of $3,200 for the whole organization or $400 for one team, we will have your logo screen printed on each game jersey, which will be worn by our football players throughout the season around the greater Baltimore area, where we play our games. You also will receive a jersey to hang at your establishment, along with advertising in any printed material such as our program booklets, bull roast table flyers, etc. and a link will be added to our web page, that has received over 75,000 hits since August of 2007. Please call the Football commissioner, Patrick Pfarr at 410-707-5629 for more information.
Score Board Sponsorship: With a donation of $500, we will add your company’s name to our scoreboard, which will be used at all home games and viewed by hundreds of visiting fans who come from all over greater Baltimore County to our fields to watch their children play football and cheer games. Your business will also be added in any printed material such as our program booklets, bull roast table flyers, etc. A link will be added to our web page, that has received over 75,000 hits since August of 2007.
Banner Sponsorship: For $150, your company’s logo will be put onto a 4’x4’ banner and displayed along the fences of Stemmers Run Middle School during our home and playoff games. These banners are viewed by hundreds of fans visiting our fields as well as local traffic traveling on Stemmers Run Road. You can continue your banner sponsorship from year to year with a $75 Renewal fee.
Product or Gift Certificate Donations: If you are unable to make a financial donation at this time, there are other ways you can help. We are always in need of gift certificates or merchandise for our weekly raffles, and our annual Bull Roast held in August. Or any other materials that will improve our equipment storage area, concession stand or field. No gift is ever too small and we can find a use for almost anything. Contributions of any amount are appreciated.
Won’t you please take the time today to put something into the mail? You are our most vital resource. Without your help we would not be able to provide quality sports programs for our youth. Thank you in advance for your time and support.
